Nicole Kidman 新刘海亮相 Chanel 澳洲首秀:轻盈及眉,三种分法都成立
Nicole Kidman’s Fresh Fringe Is ‘Cool Without Trying’

Special occasions call for special beauty moments. At least, that was the case for Nicole Kidman, who showed off her new bangs for a historic moment: Chanel’s first-ever runway in Australia, where the Biarritz cruise collection was re-shown.
“Having Nicole back home in Sydney for [the show] felt really special,” hairstylist Adir Abergel tells Vogue exclusively. (While working closely with Kidman, the hairstylist can also be found crafting the punky crop of Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron’s architectural micro bob.) Kidman was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but moved to Sydney shortly after. “Matthieu’s collection is all about the seaside, and Sydney lives that: the harbor, the sandstone, the salt in the air. I wanted her hair to feel like part of that world. It’s easy, sun-kissed, a little undone, and cool without trying.”

That’s where the fresh fringe came into the occasion. The magic of long bangs like these is that they can be styled a myriad of ways: straight across, as side bangs, or parted in the middle to create a curtain-bang effect. “There’s a real overlap between Australian ease and French-girl nonchalance,” Abergel continues. Kidman’s fringe is a natural evolution from the shorter, rounder bangs she debuted at the Chanel show in October of last year, and the fluffier curtain-style before that.
“Neither one is fussy or overdone,” Abergel adds. “We cut the bangs soft and wispy, long enough to graze the brow and broken up so they move. Then we blended them into her long layers so everything falls naturally around her face. It’s hair you don’t have to think about. It looks as right with a tuxedo as it does with sunglasses at the beach.” Versatility is key to a fresh set of bangs. Rave to red carpet, that perfectly suits Nicole Kidman, too.
