Last night, Rihanna headed out for the evening in Santa Monica, California, where she dined at her favorite restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, of course. The superstar has a history of making the run-up to the celebrity-favorite Italian restaurant her runway. (The pasta must be really good.)

While the singer and business mogul has clocked up a litany of bold statement looks for ravioli night over the years, this time, she opted for a more discrete outfit—all revolving around complementary shades of autumnal brown. Forget last year’s “groutfit”—it’s all about the brownfit for 2026/2027.

The star wore a deep mocha-brown Phoebe Philo crewneck sweater, and paired it with a lighter, almost caramel brown pair of jeans. Warm and cozy in feel, you could call the whole look apple cider-chic. It’s basically the sartorial equivalent of enjoying the toasty drink on a chilly fall day. To make it feel a little more sleek, however, Rihanna added some classic black accessories into the mix—like her thick-rimmed shades and classic ballet flats.

One can never expect Rih to fall in line with seasonal trends, though. Even when she’s enjoying the go-to fall color palette, she’ll add a killer accessory or some interesting texture.

Consider her all-brown attire proof that the neutral can be worn monochromatically, and can be mix-and-matched from light to dark hues. The runways, and celebrities like Kate Middleton, are on board with the styling move too. So what further proof do you need?
