停产眼影找了三年、试了 50 多个色号,创作者终与品牌联名复活该色
Hannah Chody on Which Beauty Product She's Reviving Next
Rather than lemons into lemonade, Hannah Chody spent much of the past three years turning Golden Peach into Bellini. This month, the creator with over 387,000 followers made headlines—and smashed sales rankings—after creating Bellini, a shimmery rose-gold eye shadow made in collaboration with Saie that's based on a discontinued Tom Ford Beauty hue called Golden Peach.
There’s clearly an opportunity here for brands and creators alike. Bellini launched on October 15 as a permanent addition to Saie’s SuperSuede Baked Eyeshadows collection and was an immediate hit. It sold out in just a few hours, according to the Business of Fashion, and Saie also reported that it was the most searched-for brand on Sephora’s website that day. (Sephora confirmed Saie was among the top-searched brands that day.) "An exclusive gift set available on TikTok Shop that included Bellini allegedly “set a new record for the highest unit sales of any featured brand to date on the platform," according to Business of Fashion. (A TikTok representative declined to comment when reached for confirmation.) The idea of the influencer collab is anything but novel—who could forget Jaclyn Hill's Champagne Pop highlighter with Becca (RIP). There have been a ton more recent ones, too, however it’s still pretty rare to see a brand co-create something and keep it around permanently.
Let’s back up: The Golden Peach ordeal began on March 4, 2023, when the influencer posted a video about shade, what she then thought was her new ride-or-die eye shadow. “It is the absolute perfect color, it looks good on everyone and it lasts forever,” she said on TikTok. Little did she know Golden Peach was no longer in production. She discovered the devastating information thanks to a comment from a follower and promptly set out to find a replacement (after buying two more pots of the stuff for safe-keeping). And so, a content series was born.
Chody posted the first video of her eye shadow search on August 8, 2023, and tried two products: the Hourglass Voyeur Eyeshadow Stick in Prism, a cool rose gold that wasn’t pink enough, and Sisley Paris Ombre Eclat Liquide Eyeshadow in shade 3, a pink rose that had too many sparkles but not enough copper. The series continued: brands sent her products for free, and she continued to make Sephora runs, purchasing her own possible dupes. “Towards the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 was when the series was going super viral and it gained so much momentum,” she tells Allure. “I kept going because people kept suggesting [more] and new eye shadows were brought to the market, and it evolved from there.”
While Chody didn’t film and post every shadow she tried, she would often go to Sephora or Ulta with a swatch of Golden Peach on her hand to compare shades in stores. She continued to document as many trial and errors on TikTok as she could for two years, trying upwards of 50 shades on her lids until, finally, Saie came knocking. But they weren’t the first.
In early 2024, a smaller brand popped into Chody’s inbox and proposed a collaboration. “I had ordered directly from [the brand] and tried their shadow,” she said. “It didn't feel like the right fit because it wasn't a brand that I had a connection to or I felt passionate about, and the eye shadow that I had tried wasn't my favorite.” If the content creator was going to put her name and likeness on something, she wanted to be more involved. “It was really important to me that it was not only getting the color that I wanted, but a formula that I really loved,” she says.

A few more brands reached out to Chody, but the one she was holding out for stayed silent. “My first goal was maybe, hopefully, Tom Ford would bring it back,” Chody says. “Obviously, I started to become a little less bullish on the potential of that happening after about 18 months of talking about it.” While she says she has a relationship with Tom Ford Beauty—she’s spoken to the team and attended the brand’s fashion week party this fall—bringing back Golden Peach does not appear to be on in the future.
After giving up on the hope that Tom Ford Beauty would be swayed by her TikTok series, Saie entered the chat. In the fall of 2025, two years after Chody’s search began, the brand reached out and proposed a collaboration—one that she’d be immersed in from every step of the way. Within a month, Chody was on a flight to Italy, where Saie’s lab is located outside of Milan. She spent a few days there with the team testing out colors using the brand’s SuperSuede Baked Eyeshadow formula, a product that wouldn’t be released to market for another year.
Since the formula was already settled, Chody spent her days in the lab comparing colors and ever so slightly tweaking the shade—less shimmer here, more bronze there. “I’m not one who used to gravitate towards powder eye shadows, obviously my favorite eye shadow was a cream shadow, but it's such a creamy powder that's so easy to manipulate and use,” she says. “Learning about how they bake it low and slow for 12 hours to get it to this perfect consistency that allows for such long wear was so interesting.” Finally, they found the perfect one: A shimmery rose-gold shade they dubbed Bellini, a nod to the rest of the brand’s Italian-themed eye-shadow names.
With the shade finally perfected, Chody came back to the U.S., but she didn’t stop trying out various rose-gold eye shadows from other brands and posting them to TikTok (although she only posted four more videos in her series until announcing Bellini’s arrival). She says she wasn’t scared of finding a perfect dupe while she waited for her collaboration to drop. “I was so confident in what Saie and I created together that I still would stand ten toes down for Bellini, but obviously the more, the merrier,” she says. Chody posted her last video in the series on October 1, where she tried Armani Beauty Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow in 20S and 27S.
In all, Chody tried over 50 shades of shimmery rose gold eye shadows and, besides Bellini, says the RMS cream shadow in Luster, a few pink shades from Armani Beauty, and a Make Up For Ever eye shadow crayon were the closest dupes. But of course, nothing will ever replace the original Golden Peach.
“I will say I am extremely impressed by how difficult it is to not only formulate, but create shades and come out with these lines. I give these beauty brands so much credit,” she says. “I have no idea if another collab or anything like that is in my future, but I’ve had so much fun, so never say never.” That being said, she has ideas of what product she’d like to bring back next. “I need to do a little bit more research, but I used to be obsessed with this Chantecaille green eyeliner,” she says. “It was like a teal green, and as someone with green eyes, it really made the eyes shine.” Chantecaille, are you listening?.
