帽子回潮:Dua Lipa 的香奈儿羽毛礼帽,带起今秋的夸张头饰风
Dua Lipa Co-Signs Jaunty Hat Fall—in Chanel Couture, of Course

The forecast for fall? A little more drama up top—so says Dua Lipa, anyway. With temperatures dropping, celebrities are taking their headwear increasingly seriously—or, more accurately, a little less seriously. Beanies and novelty caps, be gone: it’s time for the return of the fabulous, fantastical hat.
Dua Lipa is very much getting in on the action. Attending the 2026 WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, Lipa made the case for statement millinery in a look from Matthieu Blazy’s fall 2026 Chanel couture collection. Styled by longtime collaborator Lorenzo Posocco, the singer wore a white and black, heavily textured tweed skirt suit with a straight-cut jacket, decorative jeweled buttons, and black feathery trim at the collar and cuffs. This was paired with the matching knee-length skirt, pointed black pumps, Bulgari diamond earrings, and a delicate layered pearl anklet. The crowning glory was her hat: an extravagant, inky-black asymmetric confection of wispy feathers and spiky embellishments, perched atop her head jauntily. Ladylike, yes. But prim and proper? Not quite.

Lipa is, of course, no stranger to some good headwear. Throughout the summer, a baseball cap was practically glued to her head, whether she was enjoying that la vacanza lifestyle or scooting between studio sessions. But as her wardrobe shifts into fall mode, so too does her approach to accessorizing. Chanel has been a constant in her rotation, from the glossy oxblood, crocodile-embossed leather coat she wore to a Yankees game with Callum Turner earlier this month to the tomato-red knit dress with fluffy detailing she chose for her conversation with Zadie Smith at the London Literature Festival. Elsewhere, she’s been embracing the season’s more sumptuous textures and sensual palette, from a plush Charlotte Simone jacket to rich greens, deep reds, and plenty of leather.

Another excellent millinery moment, care of Elle Fanning.

Elle Fanning, currently embracing the gloriously eccentric wardrobe of her Hunger Games character Effie Trinket, has already delivered some spectacular millinery moments on the press tour for Sunrise on the Reaping. Among them: a pale-pink Robert Wun couture pillbox hat topped with a miniature ballerina, as well as a satin red pillbox creation by famed British milliner Rachel Trevor-Morgan. Hats, for this current season, come with an entire personality. Taylor Russell, meanwhile, has turned her appreciation for headwear into a fuzzy collaboration with designer Ilana Blumberg, while the sold-out baker boy caps from John Galliano’s Zara collaboration proved that demand for a distinctive topper is going mainstream. And as the colder months approach, we’re waiting with bated breath to see what noted hat enthusiast Anya Taylor-Joy has in store.
With Dua Lipa’s latest Chanel moment, the message is clear. This fall, it’s worth getting a little carried away with your headgear.
